In the heat of summer I love to look back and remember the lovely weddings of spring. Filled with peonies, sweet peas, ranunculus and the like, I just can’t help but fall in love with the romantic and soft bouquets from my spring weddings. Corals, shades of lavender, and soft ivory were definite color favorites for early 2011. I had the pleasure of designing for so many delightful couples…they make my job truly wonderful!

Once Fall rolls around there is a lovely shift in floral design. Colors move to subdued shades and earth tones. Texture takes center stage. Organic items such as fruit, twigs and berries are welcome additions. Over the last few months, I had the pleasure of working with so many amazing couples to plan their unforgettable weddings. Summer has now come and gone but not without dozens of amazing weddings! This summer boasted so much delightful variety…everything from elegant winery weddings to blissful backyard nuptials. The themes were as diverse as the locations. There was modern Moroccan, sophisticated glamour, playful butterfies, vintage lace and a peacock soiree to name a few. Once again, it has been an amazing spring season! I am so thankful that I am able to have a job that I love! The brides have been incredible…genuine, creative and fun-loving. As always, the adorable Spring blooms that we all love didn’t disappoint. Peonies, tulips, ranunculus, freesia, callas and orchids all helped to make the weddings unforgettable. What a wonderful family you have! It was such a joy to work with them to help make your wedding unforgettable. And the venue could not be any more special. The impressive old oak trees, private lake, manicured gardens and a perfect September sunset made your wedding simply breathtaking. Country charm and sophisticated elegance collided. The subtle shades of yellow, green, peach and ivory flowers complimented the natural surroundings perfectly. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a magical evening.

Summer 2009
This being one of my busiest summers since the start of my business, I had many opportunities to work with amazing brides to make their wedding day spectacular. Summer may bring the heat but it also brings the chance to spotlight the seasons’ incredible and colorful blooms. Out are the pastel colors of Spring as the vibrant blooms of Summer come into season.
